There are lots of ideas out there for getting rid of fibroids. Some things may work for one person, but may not work for another. Some products may not work for anyone, but they have good marketing. Whatever the case, on this site, I will just share what I am doing and what has or has not worked for me.
What I’ve tried in the past:
- Castor Oil Packs – not really sure if these helped, but it was good to sit still for a while and enjoy some warmth
- Systemic Enzymes – not really sure if these helped, but I had no negative side effects after using them
- DIM supplements – helps metabolize your estrogen so that you can get out of estrogen dominance
- Tumeric supplements – this is great for dealing with inflammation
- Green smoothies with leafy greens, pineapple, and ginger root – I used kale and spinach in the past, and it was an easy way to get raw foods with condiments
- Exercise – when is this ever bad?
- Cutting out red meat – I read that these may contribute to excess estrogen
- Raspberry leaf tea – good for female cycle
- Dandelion root tea – good for detoxing the liver
What I’m doing now:
- DIM supplements – after using them in the past, I noticed clearer skin, fewer headaches, and very few symptoms related to my cycle
- Vitamin D supplements – I started taking these during my pregnancy and have since read about how this vitamin is helpful in the breaking down of fibroids.
- Exercise –
- Cutting out dairy, meat products, wheat products (occasional spelt flour), white potato products, and yellow corn products
- Adding lots of fruit and vegetables, trying to eat them raw for breakfast, snacks, and dinner
- Cutting down stress – This is crucial for me because some jobs I have had in the past have really stressed me out. I am now more self-aware, and I pause when needed, ask for help when needed, and take long decompressing showers when needed.
- Smoothies – I now use dino kale and dandelion greens in addition to pineapple, ginger root, kiwi, and mango
- Raspberry leaf tea
- Dandelion root tea
- Ginger and Tumeric tea
