This month I have been exercising grace with my foods, but trying to stay as clean as possible with meals. I was delighted to stop by Whole Foods on Sunday and pick up some veggie rolls with a peanut sauce. I took the time to make a few meals… although I have still have some…

That Question!!!!!
“Are You Pregnant?” This is not really the question you want asked when you’re not expecting… but I know this question will occasionally come, as it did this past weekend. I wasn’t offended; I even felt my stomach was looking bigger. Once I shared with the woman who’d asked me that these were just…
Starting and Stopping
Over 2 years ago, I attempted to eat alkaline to get rid of fibroids naturally. Unfortunately, I wasn’t getting enough calories to support breastfeeding as a new mom, so I hit the pause button. A year later I restarted this dietary shift knowing what I was in for. I had a solid 3 months, and…
Check-in #9
In my last post I shared that we moved… while I know where my scale is, I am still looking for my tape measure to see my waist’s circumference. Still, I feel like I have not regressed much, if at all. My last cycle was pleasant, and I had fewer headaches than last month. I…

I am still on this journey to health in spite of this very eventful week. The same can probably be said for the last few months, but thankfully things will be settling down in the next month. With all of the things that are going on and we are preparing for, I found myself needing…
What I’m Eating This Week – 9/1
This week, I am eating plenty of fruit and veggies! I made a curry vegetable dish, mustard greens, smoothies, cream of buckwheat, breakfast quinoa. I think I should limit my puffed millet cereal and blue corn chips. I did snack on a dairy free almond flour crust pizza and a few waffle potato chips.
Check in #7
Things are going well with this journey. My stomach is slowly but surely going down! Stomach circumference: 74cm
Check in #6
Last week, I managed to work out twice. The first day was cardio, and the second day was strength training. I felt well doing both workouts, but during the second working, I felt something different as I stretched. Perhaps organs were shifting behind the scenes and maybe a muscle went under my rib cage for…
